Mnemba Island

Located off the coast of Matemwe, Mnemba is a small private island.
Its turquoise waters are accessible, and you can enjoy snorkeling in a nature reserve, a strip of sand that appears depending on the tide and calm water like a natural pool.
If nature allows, it is sometimes possible to see dolphins: we never hunt them, but if they come to us and the conditions are safe, you can swim near them, always respecting the marine environment.

Full day in
Traditional Dhow
Private or shared, departure Kandwa
Spend the day sailing on a beautiful wooden dhow towards the Mnemba lagoon. Snorkel in crystal-clear water, swim, and enjoy a seafood barbecue prepared right on board.
End the day with a magical sunset over the ocean
Comfort Speedboat
Private, departing from Nungwi
A quick and premium snorkeling trip, observing tropical fish and a break for fresh fruit/drinks at a superb spot.
Ideal if you want to experience Mnemba without spending all day there.
Local Speedboat
Private, departure Matemwe
The most authentic option: departure from a fishing village with a local crew. Snorkeling in the lagoon, exploring the coral reefs, and fresh fruit served at the water's edge.
Simple, local, effective for experiencing Mnemba like the Zanzibaris.

Estimated duration:
Dhow: approximately 9 hours (full day, departing from Kendwa)
Comfort speedboat: approximately 4.5 hours (half-day, departing from Nungwi)
Speedboat Local: around 3-4 hours

Included (depending on the option chosen):
Snorkeling equipment, fresh fruit and drinks, excursion tax, and guide accompaniment (included only for the local speedboat option).
For the full day Dhow option, a seafood barbecue prepared on board and the presence of the crew are also included.
The access fee to the Mnemba protected area is optional and not included.
What to bring: Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses.
